Friendship is defined to me as two people who trust each other. They trust each other with the jokes that they tell, trusting that it will be laughed at. They trust each other with the activities they do, that they both will enjoy it. In a way you could say that Friendship is like a Tree. The longer amount of time that it has to grow, the stronger it will get. With the correct nourishment and opportunities, it will become extremely strong, to a point of unfeigned love. When trust becomes uttermost faith of the other person. And even when that tree isn't strong, its still there. It still provides some shade, no matter how small the tree is. It still bears fruit, even though it might be crippled.
When one part of a friendship is lost, its like cutting down half the tree. The tree can no longer grow. It can no longer be there, it will eventually die. When a person of a friendship moves, or leaves some other way, the other is left behind to bear sorrows. ..

A friendship requires two people. Both persons in the friendship are impacted by events that happen to that friendship. Both friends feel good when a joke is shared, but in return, both friends feel sorrow when a loss is shared.
